ESG Leader is a title awarded to companies and institutions that have and implement an outstanding ESG strategy, offer innovative products and services supporting environmental protection or sustainable social development, and conduct effective information and promotion campaigns in the field of sustainable development.
In the competition, Elemental Holding Group was presenting its new CAPEX project currently under construction in the Upper-Silesian town of Zawiercie. The project’s primary objectives are sustainable management and circular economy of critical raw materials (CRMs) through recycling and recovery of platinum group metals (PGMs).
“We believe that the objectives of the construction project of our new production plant in Zawiercie fit in perfectly with the values of the ESG Leaders competition, in particular of the ESG Innovation category in which we were awarded. Our new ultramodern PGM recycling and recovery facility will be one of the first of its kind in Europe, with all technologies applied meeting the highest environmental standards. Moreover, to further reduce the plant’s carbon footprint, the plant will be powered by onsite photovoltaic panels generating green energy that will fully cover the plant’s own needs,” commented Agata Jarska, Head of Compliance Department and Acting as Head of Sustainability Department, Elemental Holding Group.
